A well-written essay that summarizes the plight of faithful Catholics who have had to endure the unfaithful interpretation of Vatican II. Vatican II was about what John Paul II referred to as the "New Evangelization" of the truth of the Gospel from the beginning of time and not about the realignment of truth for Catholics of and for their chance at the Enlightenment.

I’ve been hooking up with this girl for a few weeks now, and even though both of us agreed to keep things casual, she’s starting to treat me more like a boyfriend.

So the question starts in The Santa Clara newspaper only to find the answer does not give the right answer to the question that "hooking up" is dangerous on so many fronts...starting with the risk to the soul.  Looking at other columns, it doesn't get much better.  Too bad they don't give resources like Jennifer Roback Morse's Ruth Institute.  The guy may actually begin to understand what the girls he is using are actually going through and how he is hurting her.

And this is a surprise?!  This has been a longstanding problem as any parent with a college age child in a Catholic institution will realize.  There is no difference between our mainstream Catholic colleges and our secular colleges.  Don’t just stop at Planned Parenthood, what about the Vagina Monologues and the Gay movement clubs on Catholic campuses?  Many parents will say “we regret the money we paid for a Catholic university education” with great lament.

Here is the news account of the return of the Vagina Monologues at Santa Clara University. I am sure Saint Clare would have been offended with such a performance. Santa Clara University is where people attend classes for the Institute for Lay Ministry and now the Jesuit School of Theology is located. You have to wonder about that work product...

One wonders if the Bishop of San Jose is aware that this is going on at Santa Clara University. I guess the management at SCU has not improved after all. God help us all.
