YouTube - Earth Day Idiots Exposed

Thanks to Brian Sussman for this video.  I have picked this for my marking of Watermelon Day (Green on the Outside-Red on the Inside), a.k.a. Earth Day.  These are the people we listen to, seriously?
Remember the NRPE that funded the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change?  These people follow their agenda without missing a beat, including population control.
Thank you, Brian Sussman. Doing my part to let this go viral.

Pat Michaels of George Mason University Summarizes Climate Gate Data

Here is an up-to-date review of the climate gate scandal by Pat Michaels that was a presentation for a congressional review hearing. Good place to bookmark and share.
So what to glean from this presentation:
1.  Scientific reveiw is missing as a concrete requirement in the Algore side of the world.
2.  Science not grounded in truth and integrity of the scientific method is stealing from the common good.  It is abusive for anyone in a position of power and influence to insist people undergo hardship for themselves and their families on programs that do not demonstrate an undeniable good.  Such programs deny people opportunities to make prudential decisions that they best can make for themselves and are not serving the needs of social justice.
3. Organizations like the USCCB should be issuing statements reminding people to be truthful in their professions.  They should not be forming coalitions such as their climate change coalition based on misleading and bad science that promotes political agendas and hardships to families and communities instead of the truth.  Listening to bad science such as science promoted by the psychologists in the 70's who said people who abuse children could be cured and rehabilitated leads to more societal harm.  They need to recharge our Catholic universities to start dealing with a truthful approach to all these issues and a dusting off of the scientific method with bright scientific review.  Our society needs to lobby for more truth, not more government take over of the liberty of the human person to determine what is right and to do just that.

Do Radical Environmentalists Think God Screwed Up Creating Man?

BBC News - Today - Lovelock: 'We can't save the planet': "Lovelock: 'We can't save the planet'"

According to the Gaia guy Lovelock:
mankind was not aware it had "pulled the trigger" on global warming as it built its civilizations
...
Oh, but think of the cadre of loonies who have made money on the notion that the planet needed saving....

UN Security Stops Journalist’s Questions About ClimateGate

UN Security Stops Journalist’s Questions About ClimateGate How they love the press when they try to pull the wool over our eyes, but look what happens when a journalist asks pertinent questions regarding the intergrity of the science under the microscope regarding global warming. Good to see journalists doing their jobs.

H1N1 hospitalizes as many as seasonal flu - Washington Times

H1N1 hospitalizes as many as seasonal flu - Washington Times Yet another crisis that was not unused...how can we believe what is put out as "information," but turns out to be some information with a great big spin. Do I get flu shots? NO Have I changed my mind? NO What was my first big hint not to change my mind? The fact they stopped testing people with flu symptoms and many were found not to have H1N1....Someday soon, I hope they scrub out the politics from science in many areas including health care and global warming.

Climategate: another smoking gun…

Climategate: another smoking gun… OK, you reusable-dirty-shopping-bag advocates willing to spread more germs rather than drop the do-good-who-cares-about-the-economic-hardships on your fellow man...here is yet another article demonstrating the dishonest use of science to say global warming exists. Global warming scientists are suppose to do the science that will disprove their hypothesis until they reach a point where it can't. This is just a big ploy for a global tax and control of economies. Remember, it is immoral to lie, cheat, steal from or slander a fellow scientist who is demanding a truthful scientific review. Ask Pat Michaels at the Cato.  I think it is time that some high profile religious bodies, a group like the USCCB, put out a statement reminding scientists of their responsibility to tell the truth and not foster harm towards those serious scientists who are working with the virtues demanded in the practice of their profession. The truth will set us all free.

BBC NEWS | Science & Environment | What happened to global warming?

BBC NEWS Science & Environment What happened to global warming? Cool! My money is on the coolers--Algore will look like the pathetic pseudo-scientist that he isn't when all is said and done. Of course, that will be after the price of oil is in the stars and he has made certain people bazillionares ( I wonder how much oil stock he may have)and we are being globally taxed for exhalation and cow flatus. I say drill, baby, drill cause it is going to get cold around here. We must pray that integrity returns to the scientific method and stop the propagation of theories as facts before they can be proven.

http://www.news-leader.com/article/20090814/NEWS01/908140373/Debunking++climaste+change+myths+

There are too many myths out there being accepted as fact by politicians and policy makers in positions of power that are leading to serious economic consequences. How do they hold themselves accountable for the harm they will do to working class people in all countries?

The Not-So-Green Pope - The Acton Institute From my favorite social justice organization, the Acton Institue. The climate change issue is not settled and should be scrutinized as such. Science should be the arena for the discussion, not politics.

NOAA - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - NOAA: July Temperature Below-Average for the U.S.

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2009/20090810_julystats.html NOAA - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - NOAA: July Temperature Below-Average for the U.S.What? No global warming for July? Is it because of a lack of activity with the sun or is it the bummer of the jobless recovery decreasing our carbon footprint? Sounds like too many variables to make a sound call to the question. Why don't we cut taxes, call off the increased debt of health care overhauls, cash for clunkers and further bailouts to heat up the economy and see if it makes a difference. I like that approach. (I am betting that if the solar activity remains low, it will stay cool for the really COOL state of an economy!)

Global warming is the new religion of First World urban elites

Global warming is the new religion of First World urban elites Another interesting perspective from the perspective of a geologist.

The Catholic Thing - On Saving the Earth

The Catholic Thing - On Saving the Earthhttp://www.thecatholicthing.org/content/view/1932/2/ A beautiful summary of the current use of "saving the earth" and its support of the notion that we have too much humanity using their free will to be fruitful. Isn't this a breakdown in the Catholic community losing sight of the fact that God will provide and what our true goal is with this time in the eternal scheme of things?

Diocese of San Jose, Catholic Coalition of Climate Change and NRPE

After reading Bishop McGrath's letter ( http://www.dsj.org/about-us/bishops/bishops-statements/statement-on-the-st-francis-pledge)stating the following:
The Diocese of San Jose in partnership with Catholic Charities, Santa Clara University and the Presentation Retreat and Conference Center has formed the Catholic Green Initiative of Santa Clara County. In this effort, we will identify and encourage "green initiatives" here in our own valley of St. Clare and we will ask all Catholics of Santa Clara County to make a difference in an organized sustainable way.

one is very interested in understanding just who is the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change http://www.catholicsandclimatechange.org/ and who are they connected with. The word coalition can be very scary as it usually means some sort of community organizing that will be used to lobby lawmakers giving them cover or making them intimidated by the notion that it is incredibly big and influential. Naturally, one should be alarmed if the mere fact they attend mass and belong to a parish, they would be represented to signing onto some sort of campaign. Naturally, California Catholics have just passed through a very difficult time with the issue of Prop. 8 and many were appalled at the control of how the message supporting Prop. 8 was managed, and thus would expect the same amount of prudence shown with regard to controversial issues such as climate change and government takeover of health care and insurance.
Catholics should really explore the funder of the Catholic Coalition of Climate Change and realize that the coalition partners are not on the same page as the Catholic Church regarding population control. They definitely are not in line with the newest encyclical of Pope Benedict XVI Caritas in Veritate
So is it the plan that our catechism classes will remind us we should confess to using plastic instead of cloth?
Just in case you want to hear why the science on global warming is not firmly there read this report from the Marshall C. Marshall Institute.
