I highly recommend this article for post election nerve soothing and perspective. From whatever side the Catholic perceives themselves identifying with either the winner or the loser, this is the perspective we should start anew. The point of this life is after we breathe our last breath, we will stand before God and be judged. Did we live a life that pursued knowing, following and loving God or did we choose something else. That is the bottom line to everything, the justification or the abandonment from what we choose to do.
So for those who choose God, despair has no place in their person because eternal life is their hope. Keep up the good fight and remember what that fight is.
