The Pope in Parliament and Westminster Abbey: a day that shook the foundations of Britain's Protestant myth

The Pope in Parliament and Westminster Abbey: a day that shook the foundations of Britain's Protestant myth
The Reformation was one of the worst tears in the history of Christianity as the unity Christ prayed for before his death was breached over a power struggle between Church and state disguised in the language of divorce.  Just as a valid marriage can never be put asunder by an act of civil society (ceases being civil when it says otherwise), Christianity can not thrive without the Papacy.  With the Papacy, the Christian world can be assured that the "gates of hell will not prevail" as is the promise of Christ, with the same power of the covenants with Abraham and Moses. The Catholic Church is the Church, not a church.  All truths are held in her, and thus she can be the only real umbrella that can protect the Body of Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
