A Window Into State Spending | Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association

A Window Into State Spending | Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association A must read for all interested in the financial mess of California. California has been in a downward spiral for a long time as the state government has been controlled by the special interest of public sector employee groups, environmentalists and those seeking overburdensome regional government control that are couched in government/private sector ventures. We are being run by commissions, regualtions and court agreements that keep the control out of the local ballot box. Prop. 13 and succeeding taxpayer initiatives seek to control this approach by demanding a vote on the funding. What good are the advantages of California when you can not expect to afford to live there. Politicians should be concerned with the cost of living demands on constituents and not on the further funding of special interest groups.
